The brief
We were asked by our friends at Luga Baruga to make 3D lips for an installation outdoors at one of the UK’s largest Retail Outlets. The idea was to replicate a set of painted lips from a photoshoot for a magazine.

The Process
We first sculpted them in polystyrene. Once they were sculpted, we added a waterproof coating along with texture and added the finer detail. The design for the lips required that they had lots of coloured shapes and drips, so we added these with plastic shapes, then painted them black. We painted gold over the top, allowing some black to show through. And to finish off the prop we added some final drip detail.
