The brief

For the 2024 Goodwoof dog event at Goodwood we were asked to build a Snoopy prop, this is the third year running we have had the privilege of making Snoopy and this time he is accompanied by three Woodstock's on top of his iconic red dog house and with a Beagle scout theme.

The Process

For the 2024 Goodwoof dog event, we were asked to make another Snoopy, this is the third year running we've made the giant Snoopy prop for the popular event. For this year's display the theme was Beagle Scouts and as well as a giant Snoopy, Goodwoof also asked us to make three Woodstock's to sit alongside him on the roof of his red dog house. We sculpted Snoopy and his hat out of polystyrene, both were coated in a layer of fibreglass, which we finished ready to paint. We sculpted a Woodstock out of clay which we made a rubber mould from to cast all three of the characters. We really enjoyed painting the props bright colours, which really brought them to life. We gave the house a fresh coat of red paint from the year before. At the install Snoopy was lifted onto the roof of his dog house with a telehandler and slotted into his metal spigot along with the Woodstocks. They looked great against the sunshine and brought smiles to faces all weekend.

The Result

Snoopy is always a joy to make for the Goodwoof dog event and this year we loved making his three Woodstock companions and the Beagle Scout hats as well, the bright colours looked great in the sunshine at the popular dog show.
